Why Homoeopathy

Gentle medicine that treats the cause, not just the symptom

With nearly two decades of experience, our practice treats patients with patience, perseverance and the healing science of homoeopathy, working toward holistic improvement, with no side effects and no suppression. By addressing disease from its root cause, we aim to ease recurrence and care for the whole person.

No side effects, no suppression

Remedies are chosen to support the body's own healing response, gently, without suppressing your symptoms.

Root-cause approach

Careful case-taking looks beyond the surface to understand why illness recurs, so treatment can reach the source.

Whole-person care

You are treated as an individual. Your history, temperament and lifestyle all guide the remedy and the plan.

Services & Specialisations

Areas of homoeopathic care

Treatment for a wide range of conditions, drawing on clinical experience and modern repertorisation software to find the remedy that fits you.

Hair Problems

Hair fall, thinning, scalp and related concerns addressed constitutionally.

Homoeopathy approaches hair problems holistically, recognising a strong connection between the mind and physical health. Mental factors such as stress, grief, anxiety and emotional trauma can disrupt internal balance, contributing to conditions like hair thinning, patchy loss (alopecia areata) or hair-pulling disorders (trichotillomania). Remedies are individualised, based on a person's complete physical, mental and emotional profile.

Eye, Ear, Nose & Tongue

Care for common disorders of the eyes, ears, nose and tongue.

Homoeopathy treats the mind and body as deeply interconnected. When prescribing for conditions of the eyes, ears, nose and tongue, the practitioner considers the patient's overall constitution — temperament, mood and reactions to stress. For example, a patient with an earache who becomes weepy and craves sympathy is often given a different remedy from someone who develops the same earache but turns highly irritable and impatient. These organs often express underlying mental and emotional strain, which we explore in depth through careful case-taking and repertorisation.

Joints & Extremities

Disorders of the joints and limbs, including stiffness and pain.

Practitioners observe that specific emotional patterns can indicate or aggravate musculoskeletal complaints. Grief and repressed anger — problems triggered by emotional stress or unexpressed feelings — such as Staphysagria or Ignatia. Stress and irritability, with the stiffness and cramping of overwork or held tension, the Nux Vomica profile. Apprehension and insecurity — joint aches or ‘restless legs’ alongside mental restlessness — Rhus toxicodendron. Hypersensitivity, where physical pain brings sleeplessness, racing thoughts or emotional over-sensitivity, Coffea cruda.

Spondylitis

Support for cervical and other forms of spondylitis.

Homoeopathy approaches spondylitis — whether cervical, lumbar or ankylosing — through constitutional prescribing, treating the physical spinal symptoms as inseparable from a person's mental and emotional state. Stress and emotional suppression are recognised triggers that can tighten muscles, aggravate nerve compression and accelerate spinal wear. By matching a patient's particular stressors and behavioural tendencies (homoeopathic ‘rubrics’) to specific remedies, the aim is to ease both emotional strain and physical spinal pain.

Tumours & Outgrowths

Homoeopathic management of benign tumours and outgrowths.

Vitiligo & Skin

Vitiligo and a range of chronic skin complaints.

In homoeopathy, the skin and the mind are seen as deeply interconnected reflections of a person's overall constitutional health. Rather than viewing skin conditions as purely local, the practitioner looks at mental states, emotional triggers and personality to select a highly individualised remedy. Emotional states such as prolonged stress, grief, anxiety or repressed anger can trigger or worsen skin complaints — and chronic, visible conditions (such as eczema, psoriasis or acne) in turn bring shame, low confidence and anxiety; homoeopathy aims to ease this cycle. During the consultation a detailed picture is built of how mind and emotions interact with the skin. Common profiles include: anxiety and restlessness, with intense itching or burning that worsens with worry; suppressed anger and grief, with flare-ups after emotional trauma and sensitivity to cold; and irritability or impatience when dealing with itchy or painful eruptions.

For vitiligo specifically, homoeopathic philosophy emphasises that physical disease is an outward expression of inward emotional disturbance. The emotional conflicts often linked to vitiligo include: grief and disappointment — prolonged sorrow or a sudden, devastating emotional shock (such as the loss of a loved one) that has not been processed; identity and self-esteem — deep-seated feelings of worthlessness, humiliation, or a crisis about one’s self-image or social standing; and suppressed emotions — an inability to express anger, hurt or fear, leading to an internal conflict that manifests on the skin.

All Types of Stones

Renal, gall-bladder and other stones managed homoeopathically.

Female Disorders

Menstrual, hormonal and other women's health concerns.

Homoeopathy approaches female health problems — such as PCOS, PMS and menopausal distress — as physical manifestations of an internal imbalance in the ‘vital force’. These chronic conditions are thought to often arise from unresolved mental conflicts, prolonged emotional stress or suppressed trauma that disturb the body’s natural harmony. Mind–body unity: mental and physical health are not separated — emotional states, temperament and psychological stressors are viewed as a root cause or key indicator of internal susceptibility, not merely a by-product of illness. Vital-force disruption: a prolonged mental conflict (grief, suppressed anger or fear) is believed to perturb the body’s self-regulating ‘vital force’, and over time this shows up as localised physical disease. Constitutional prescribing: rather than treating an isolated symptom (for example, a remedy strictly for fibroids), the homoeopath weighs the ‘totality of symptoms’ — especially the patient’s emotional reactions and mental conflicts — and the chosen constitutional remedy aims to resolve the underlying conflict and restore both psychological and reproductive balance.

Childhood Disorders

Gentle, child-friendly care for common paediatric complaints.

Behavioural & Mental Health

Compassionate support for behavioural and emotional concerns.

Anxiety & Stress

Help for anxiety, stress and related disorders.

Sleep & Nervous Disorders

Insomnia, restlessness and disorders of the nervous system.

Conditions Treated

Learn about the conditions we treat

Chronic skin conditions and vitiligo are approached constitutionally, looking at the whole person rather than the patch of skin alone. In our experience, skin complaints often surface alongside feelings of separation, neglect, or the fear of losing someone close — almost as if the skin is voicing what the mind is holding back. Vitiligo, in particular, can mirror a loss of colour and joy in life following distance from a loved one. Taking a careful, detailed history of these emotional threads alongside the physical picture is central to how we select a remedy and support steadier, longer-lasting improvement.

Stiffness, pain and restricted movement in the joints and spine are common reasons patients seek homoeopathic care, often alongside their conventional treatment.

Different types of stones are managed with individualised remedies, with attention to recurrence and lifestyle factors.

From women's hormonal and menstrual health to gentle paediatric care, treatment is tailored to each stage of life.

Anxiety, stress, sleep difficulties and nervous-system complaints are addressed with calm, individualised support.

Hair fall, eye, ear, nose and tongue complaints, tumours and outgrowths, and more. If your concern is not listed, please ask.

Varicose veins are more than swollen, discoloured veins with poor circulation in the legs. In our experience, they often appear alongside a quiet sense of restriction — feeling held back by a job, a place, a family duty, or by caring for someone beyond what feels fair. Over time, this unspoken sense of being limited, overburdened or treated unjustly can show up in the body as swelling, ulcers and pain in legs. Understanding these pressures alongside the physical examination helps us choose a remedy suited to the whole person, not just the veins.

Cataract is often considered simply a part of ageing, but in many cases we find it follows a long period of quietly longing to see someone — a child who has moved away for studies or work, a loved one now seen mostly in photos and video calls. This ongoing emotional and visual conflict, of wanting to see someone who isn't there, can play a part in the gradual clouding of the eyes. Understanding this history is part of how we approach eye complaints, including cataract, alongside your regular eye care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions patients often ask

Taking & storing your medicines

Homoeopathic globules naturally absorb and hold the medicine, so feeling dry is simply their nature and does not mean they have stopped working. Keep them clean, capped and away from moisture and strong smells, and take them exactly as advised.

Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, take the small number of globules written on your label. Always follow the exact dose you have been given.

Place the advised number of drops onto or under your tongue, or into a little clean water if instructed. Do not let the dropper touch your mouth or hands.

Pour the advised number of drops or measured amount onto a clean spoon or into a little water, as your doctor has instructed, and take it on a clean mouth.

Stored correctly in a cool, dry, dark place, homoeopathic medicines keep well for a long time. However, each prescription is matched to your condition at the time, so please do not reuse leftover medicine for the same complaint later without the doctor's advice.

Keep medicines tightly capped in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, moisture and strong-smelling substances such as perfume, camphor or menthol — and out of the reach of children.

Depending on what the patient can take, the medicine can be placed directly on the tongue, mixed into a little water, tea or food, or in some cases applied to the skin. Please speak to the clinic so the doctor can confirm the safest way for that patient's situation.

As a general guide, take your medicine about an hour before food; plain water is fine in between. If you are taking it on an empty stomach, avoid scented toothpaste or mouthwash beforehand, and follow any specific gap your doctor advises.

Tip the globules directly from the bottle onto your tongue and let them dissolve on their own, rather than chewing or swallowing them whole.

Avoid very strong flavours and stimulants such as excess raw onion and garlic, strong coffee, and anything containing camphor or menthol around the time of your dose. Your doctor may give you specific advice.

Strong smells such as perfume, camphor, menthol and mint are best kept away from both you and your medicines around dosing time.

Take each medicine as written on its label. Some are taken together and some separately, so please follow the order and timing your doctor has given you.

About your treatment

No honest doctor can guarantee a cure. We promise careful assessment, individualised treatment and steady care aimed at the root cause of your illness.

This is a big question. Using our experience, software repertorisation and the best technology available, we try our very best for every patient. So share your symptoms and full case history with the doctor, and we will work to give you the best results we can — though, as with any honest medicine, how much homoeopathy helps still varies from person to person.

It depends on the condition, how long you have had it and how your body responds. Acute problems may settle quickly, while long-standing conditions usually need a longer, patient course.

Please be patient and contact the clinic before stopping anything — the doctor needs a little time to review your case. Symptoms sometimes shift early in treatment, so let the doctor know and the plan can be adjusted. For any severe or sudden symptoms, seek urgent medical care.

Please be patient and do not make changes on your own. The holistic approach works gradually from the root, so share your reports with the clinic first and let the doctor guide you safely about your conventional medicines.

No. Do not stop any prescribed medicine on your own. Homoeopathy usually runs alongside your existing medicines, and where appropriate other medicines are reduced gradually under medical guidance — never stopped suddenly without your treating doctor's advice.

In many cases homoeopathy is used supportively alongside cancer treatment. Please share your full treatment details so the doctor can advise what is safe for you.

In most cases homoeopathic medicine works best on an empty stomach, with a clean mouth and away from food, drink and strong flavours. Take it as advised rather than worrying about exact timing.
